How did WMAMWKIICome To Be?

In March 2024, the creators of We Made a Movie with Knights in It first crossed paths on the set of a short film called The Relic. Written by Jacob Richards for a friend's final film school project, the production was set to shoot over two days with over 20 extras. However, just a day before filming, the co-lead dropped out. In a frantic search for a replacement, Jacob reached out to James T George, who had expressed interest in the project weeks earlier. That night, James drove three hours to the shoot location, learned all the lines for the 20-minute film, and even helped with shooting and directing. After two grueling 16-hour shoot days—which included a 2-mile trek through a swamp and filming until 2 a.m.—James and Jacob co-led the production and forged a strong friendship amidst the challenging conditions.

Following the project, the two began discussing future collaborations, particularly choreographed fight scenes. After several meetings, the idea of creating a comedy about knights was born. What began as a concept for a series of skits evolved into the decision to make a feature-length film. In May 2024, James, Jacob, Laura Richards, and a team of volunteers began writing and filming what would become the two-hour feature We Made a Movie with Knights in It. After 40 shoot days, the film was completed in September 2024. This film is a true labor of love, crafted through long, intense shoot days in full armor under blistering heatwaves. Despite the challenges, James and Jacob are incredibly proud and excited to share their creation with the world. We Made a Movie with Knights in It offers clever writing, quirky humor, and zero profanity, making it a fun and relatable adventure for audiences of all ages.
